Single-molecule photon emitters

Electroluminescence spectroscopy on single molecules investigated by scanning probe methods is a very fresh and hot topic, as seen from the rapid rise in publications on this subject. We focus on the elementary phenomena influencing the shape of the photon spectra, like the effect of the electrostatic field of the substrate, adsorption configuration, types of molecular emitters, bias voltage, current, probe proximity, etc. So far, we have conducted a series of successful measurements on CuPc and ZnPc species.
